Mayterial sat on the side of the bed, she tried to focus on what was real and what she was imagining. It was difficult especially since there were so many people around her imagining things as well. At times she was wondering how long it would take for the ship to crash into the planet, only to remind herself that they were nowhere near a planet. Then she was looking at a completely different face that was tending the medical bay. So far all she could do is sit and wait for some of the people she had called on to report in to the medical bay or over the commline.

Like kids who had just robbed a candy store, Ares and Colt moved as fast as they could with the bag of Ares’s supply of hyposprays back towards the Infirmary. They weren’t sure they had enough in the Infirmary, and Ares was desperate to get back to normal, whatever normal was. She decided that normal was as far away from the chaos she and Colt were experiencing at the moment. Normal was not imagining having sex with a ghost. Normal was not having hot and cold flashes in a tepid Infirmary. Normal was not having May be mad at her for being a massive bitch because she hit a little too close to home. Turning the corner into the Infirmary, the pair slowed down at the sight of May and the unfamiliar woman in the room. “Goddamnit, Droz,” Ares’s smile was exhausted but quite wide at the idea of being able to tell her what they may have figured out. “I think we may have figured out what’s going on.” She looked at Colt and nodded her head towards the Captain. Colt, who had been holding the messenger bag with the hyposprays, tossed the bag towards her, letting it fall onto the bed next to her.

"You figured out what's leaking?" Taleria spoke up, "oh, sorry, Taleria Lin, MD I heard your call for Medics, but when I got here noone was in, then the Captain and Vysara walked in." The trill said. "And yes, I'm also seeing things, so's the Engineer."

"And I'm seeing all your things." May ignored the fact that it was difficult for her to keep her own facts straight as well, "So what did you find?"

“There’s something in the environmentals, Droz,” Ares came over and opened the bag and handed May the hypospray. “Drug inhibitor. I didn’t think we’d have enough in here so I grabbed my own supply.”

“We figured we’d try some type of medication that would help with hallucinations,” Colt jumped it, remaining near the door and away from the official crew circle but wanting to feel a part of it. “After finding out you don’t keep any antipsychotics here, we looked to what else caused hallucinations. Naturally, drugs came to mind. And the inhibitor worked. Now, it’s probably temporary depending on the source but it’s been about 15 or 20 minutes and so far they haven’t come back.”

Mayterial looked over at Taleria then to Ares, there were about a dozen questions going around in her head, not the least of which would be why Ares was carrying her own supply of drug inhibitors. That would be something for later, "The dear doctor and me figured it must have something to do with the crate in Cargobay two. Sent Sam over to get us sample." She then frowned, "at least, I think I did." She looked at the doctor for confirmation.

"Yes, you did." Taleria reached into the bag and picked up a hypospray. "Taking drug inhibitors without knowing the cause and effect is dangerous. So since you both already took them, I'll need to check you over later so that I can make sure your systems are clear and you're not suffering side effects. I'll have to go without, again for reasons already mentioned and because I'm joined. So hopefully your Sam person can get me a sample I can analyze."

Just then the device that had been analyzing made a sound and Taleria stepped over to it to check the results. But not before others could hear a soft, "damn it, I told you to go away, Baran!"

"Well, I'm all for experimental drugs, normally. But you're both human and we're both not." Mayterial wondered, she wanted to get everyone out of her head and had noticed that Ares and Colt weren't casting their abnormal thoughts into her anymore. Now she could just sense surface thoughts and feelings, "I'm sorry. I can't really concentrate either." She reached out in the direction of Ares, not unlike a junky clawing for her fix.

Ares looked over at the doctor and watched her fall prey to the hallucinations. For her to want to be overly cautious at a time like this was borderline reckless. They didn’t have time. Her time as a police officer showed her what hesitation did to even the smartest and most talented officers. “I can appreciate carefulness, Doctor,” she was a little impatient with her voice, “but we can’t afford to sit around and wait.” Ares handed May a hypospray. “We need to keep our shit together and this seems to be our only chance at doing that. At least it can keep us going until we actually figure out what’s causing this. Once we’re done here I’ll go do the headcount you wanted, Droz.”

Taleria stepped back, blinking the vision away again. "I can keep my head on, you guys take it if you want, just come back for a check later. I've got the results from our blood tests, Captain. There is definitely a compound present. If we can get that baseline sample match confirmation, I can start working on a proper countermeasure to flush it out of the system."

May pressed the hypo in her neck and administered the listed dose, "I'll need to get this to the bridge, Langar still thinks he's doing the prophet's work." She looked at the Doctor and then at Ares, "For now, let's keep this suppressant on a critical as needed basis." She winced a bit as the spot where she injected herself started to itch.

Taleria nodded, "good luck. Also may want to find your own medic, because noone was here when I came in."

"Hold the fort until I find her." Mayterial slid herself off the bed feeling the invading thoughts slowly drift away, her focus back on the actual medical professional that stood in front of her, "Try not to turn into that dude again." She pointed at her before stepping towards Ares and Colt, "let's get this ship back underway."

Colt raised his eyebrow at May, noticing the slight discomfort in her face. “Hey, you okay, Captain?” He jutted his chin towards her neck. “Should we take a couple of other hypos with us just in case? I don’t want you swelling up like a blowfish.” A smirk formed on his lips. “A very beautiful blowfish, though.”

"I'm fine. Let's go." May still felt the itch but didn't really mind that minor inconvenience compared to the alternative. "Our priority is to get everyone back on their feet and this ship back on track." She looked over at Colt and Ares, "Quarantine all non-essential personnel to their quarters. Let's make sure they don't damage anything or anyone."

Ares gave May a firm nod. She was still in her good graces, for now at least. Her goal was to maintain her position and not overstep her bounds, or punch the Captain in the face, until they were at their final destination. It would be easier to catch a ride back to Earth. She then looked at Colt and gestured towards the door with her head. “Let’s start rounding them up now. We got a lot of ground to cover.”

Mayterial rubbed her neck one last time, hoping the itching wouldn't spread. She should just be doing something to get her mind off it. She headed for the bridge, "Give me a shout if you're done!" She called over her shoulder in the direction of Ares and Colt.
