::Fawkes Achievements:: Achievements specific to the Fawkes. They are divided in different categories. Some are specific to a mission, others can be done as a sub-plot whenever you feel like it! All of them encourage creative writing and will only be awarded when completed in solid writing that holds up to the quality posting standard we hold ourselves to on the Fawkes. |

::Obsidian Fleet Awards:: Obsidian Fleet has several awards that can be earned by the crew of all simms in the fleet. Below is a list of awards that apply to the Fawkes and can be earned during your time here. Everyone can nominate another crewmember for the award, the Command crew will then take that nomination into consideration. |

Award - Captain's Personal Merrit Awarded to a crew member who the Captain feels worthy. |

Award - Creativity Award The Creativity Award is presented to those who come up with an outstanding idea during a mission. This can be in battle, a diplomatic meeting, medical crises, or even during a shore leave. There is no exacting criteria for the qualifications of this award. Sample posts are required. |

Award - Crew's Choice Award Voted on by the crew of the simm in question. No real criteria, just the player which the crew feels excelled that month. |

Award - DeForest Kelley Humour Award This award is meant to help us all remember that a bit of light-heartedness goes a long way; even in the face of danger. DeForest Kelley was as much a comedian as he was an actor of the 20th century. Therefore, this is as much a tribute to him as it is an award to any recipient. This award can be given to any player in Obsidian Fleet. |

Award - Meritorious Newcomer Award This award will be given to the newcomer who makes themselves known and puts in the most effort to make their character a valuable addition. |

Award - Non-Player Character Award For the development of Non-Player Characters. The lives of our characters are in a setting populated by countless other people who are important to our featured individuals. This award marks the achievement of a player for their development of engaging, detailed NPCs who add realism and dimension to the simm. |

Award - Outstanding Volunteer Award For the player who makes every effort to find significant ways to lend a hand to the simm’s command staff. Performs excellent support work to the best of his/her abilities. Reserved for out of character contributions only, as such efforts differ in scope and often involve a player’s personal time commitment beyond the game play. |

Award - Professional Merit Awarded to the character who has developed his/her character with considerable talent, making that character a joy to interact with. |

Award - Recruitment Award For recognition of recruitment successes. In order to secure a bright and long lasting future for Obsidian Fleet, there must always be the continual introduction of excited and eager new players. This award is to recognize those who have successfully recruited a new player to the simm who remains on that simm for a minimum period of 6 months. |

Award - Service Accommodation Awarded to the crew member who performs his/her character’s job and advances above and beyond the job description they were “hired” to follow. |

Award - Service Citation: 6 Months Awarded to a member of the crew who has served with the ship for at least 6 months. This award is non-cumulative. |

Award - Service Citation: 1 Year Awarded to crewmembers who have served on the ship for one year. This award is non-cumulative. |

Award - Service Citation: 2+ Years Awarded to crew who have served on the same vessel for two years and for each subsequent year thereafter. It is becoming increasingly common for players to extend their service beyond two years and, as such, we reward those stalwart contributors. |

Award - Whoopi Goldberg Diversity Ribbon Awarded for the successful portrayal of a non-human character aboard a simulation. In the interest of diversity, this award is granted to individuals who have done an exemplary job writing and developing their non-human characters. Playing ruthless Romulans, killer Klingons, freeloading Ferengi, clever Cardassians, benevolent Bajorans, vigilant Vulcans, aspiring Andorians and any others, while doing so in an excellent fashion, is worthy of recognition. This award can also be used to commend those players who support other diversity factors in real life and our sims, including race, gender identity, ethnicity, sexuality, and more. |

Award - Zefram Cochrane Writing Award For those who excel at writing unique and well-thought out styles and posts during a mission. This could include discovery, first contact, battle scenes, romance, general obstacles, and more. |

Award - Bronze Star A player who demonstrates excellence in posting and playing his/her character “to the hilt” will receive this award. This is also awarded for task force level exemplary service, community engagement, and an overall good example of a model player. |

Award - Medal of Honour This medal is awarded for the showing of bravery and valour in the heat of combat. Recipients of this medal can serve in any department. |

Award - Purple Heart Awarded to personnel who are injured in the line of duty. They do not have to be on their deathbed, or even have broken limbs and such. Basically, any crew member with an injury or injuries that a CO feels worth making record of should receive this award. Also applies to POWs: Given to Starfleet officers who are captured by enemy forces for an extended period of time. |

Award - Ribbon of Commitment Given to a person who has truly put forth an indisputable amount of extra effort. This refers primarily to out of character circumstances. Recruiting, pulling the crew together, posting, helping to fill in the “gaps”, and helping maintain their ship’s website are just a few of the things that could count toward this award. Truly, this is one award to cherish when received. Sample posts are not required, but a detailed description of the events for which the award is being sought for is. |

Award - Character of the Year This award is given annually in January of each year and is decided upon by nominations from ship COs. Sample posts are not required, but reasons for the nomination are. Sample posts should be available upon request though. |

Award - James T. Kirk CO of the Year This award is given annually in January of each year and is decided upon by nominations from Task Force COs and Task Group COs. One CO is chosen from the nominations received. Reasons supporting the nomination are required, but post samples are not. |

Nomination and Selection for this award is on a continual basis, nominations shall be given to the Task Force Commanding Officer who will decide on the validity of the nomination. Nominations should contain a detailed explanation for the nomination. Once done the nomination will forwarded to the Awards Director for awarding. Should the Task Force Commanding Officer be nominated the Awards Director shall decide validity of the nomination. It should be noted that the Awards Director shall have the final say on the Awarding of the award. |

Award - Platinum Sim of the Year This is used to recognize the Obsidian Fleet simm which has done its very best to embody the spirit of the Fleet in the crew’s actions both in character and out of character. This includes postings; recruiting for the simm, Task Force, and Fleet; advertising for all of the above; etc. |

Award - Silver Star A player who demonstrates supreme postings, posts often, and plays their character “to the hilt” will receive this award. Arguably considered one of the highest honours a crew member can receive. This is also awarded at the fleet level for exemplary service, community engagement, and an overall good example of a model player. |
